Jameson’s Irish Whiskey Presents: The Playboy Mansion Virtual Tour
For decades the Playboy Mansion has functioned as party site, workplace and home to Hugh Hefner, as well as to hundreds of Playmates, intimate friends and celebrities. Located just outside of Los Angeles, the Holmby Hills estate was once described in Rolling Stone as a “mini Versailles,” but Hef prefers to call it his own personal “Shangri-La,” a special place like nowhere else. Built in 1927, the 30-room Gothic-Tudor home is modeled after a 15th-century English manor, but when Hef purchased the property in 1971 he added his own personal touches,
such as a pool modeled after a natural lake, as well as the legendary Grotto, which was designed to look as if it had emerged from the sea millions of years ago.
Today the Mansion has about 80 employees, and many departments are on duty 24 hours a day. Now you can take a virtual tour of Hef’s legendary pleasure palace alongside three Playboy staffers, all of whom are ready to share some of the Mansion’s secrets that only insiders know.
